MEC was retained by ARCO National Construction Company for the construction of a super huge square-foot building in the Decatur area. This was a design build project, and our involvement started at the outset with attendance at the initial meeting with the City of Decatur and the various stakeholders. The meeting included representatives of the Macon County Highway Department, the City of Decatur, our clients, and the developer…The Atkins group from Champaign, Illinois. At the end of the day, MEC provided civil engineering services that were approved by the local authorities. The design build process went very smooth in Decatur.
