About Us

Martin Engineering Company is a locally owned and operated civil engineering and land surveying firm located in Springfield, Illinois. We were founded in 1982 by Russell W. Martin, father of our current president, Philip G. Martin, P.E.

We are a progressive firm that embraces the latest GPS and CAD technologies. Our talented team has demonstrated expertise in a broad range of projects in the fields of civil engineering and land surveying. 

The majority of our work is performed for private entities developing subdivisions, banks, big box stores, churches, retail strip malls and the like. We also have served the public sector with municipal engineering services, water, and sewer main designs, grant writing, land surveying, construction inspection, etc. Our clients have included the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Sangamon County Water Reclamation District, the Sangamon County Highway Department, and various Villages in the central Illinois area. 

We primarily provide engineering and land surveying services throughout the central Illinois area, including all Towns, Villages and Cities in-between and around Springfield, Decatur, Taylorville, Litchfield and Lincoln. We are licensed to provide these services in the entire State of Illinois and are capable of extending our service expertise in other regions of the state. See our services and projects for more information.
